TAKE A WALK THROUGH HISTORY

The Museum of Idaho is a local treasure that shouldn’t be missed! You’ll love learning about the flora, fauna, and forces that made Idaho what it is today. Thousands of Idahoan artifacts are arranged for viewing at the Museum. Take a moment to appreciate the heritage of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe in a partial model of an authentic village. Move ahead to the 19th century and get a peek at a one-room schoolhouse and several historic businesses of the time period. You can even follow the journeys of the people who shaped Idaho, including Lewis and Clark. Curious about Idaho’s more recent history and contributions to science? Learn about how Idaho was the first state to make usable energy from nuclear power and remains on the cutting edge of atomic energy.
For something truly unique, make sure to stop by the temporary exhibit, Dinosaurs in Motion: Where Art and Science Meet! The exhibit features 14 life-size, interactive dinosaur sculptures that you operate using physical and remote means. The exhibit showcases the intersection of science, art, and innovation.
