SUMMER ON THE SNAKE RIVER

The Greenbelt on the Snake River is a local treasure. It’s a great place to spend the afternoon or evening. The trail’s five miles of beautiful scenery crosses the river. It also takes you past the 600-foot waterfall that is the town’s namesake. The trail features different memorials, and you can make stops at the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho or the McClure Flower Garden. Both the northern and southern parts of the park feature playground areas for kids. You can even fish or play disc golf within the park. Make sure to bring lunch to enjoy at one of the picnic shelters! You can plan your visit here.
This summer, the Greenbelt fills with music for the EIRMC River Concert Series. Every Tuesday evening through August from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a different artist or group performs. Concerts are free to the public and located on the Greenbelt Stage between D & E on Memorial Drive. You’ll want to bring a chair or blanket to sit on for a beautiful night along the river. For more information, click here or view the individual event pages for each performance here.
