AN EVENING OUT FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Summer means lots of outdoor activities and events in Idaho Falls. On Wednesday nights through September 6 th , you can enjoy an event that not only brings together the community but also provides long-term benefits. The Idaho Falls Civitan Club is hosting the Alive After Five evenings featuring live music, food, and beverages. The events runs from 5:00p.m. to 7:30p.m. at Civitan Plaza in Historic Downtown at the corner of Park and B. Street. Each week features a different sponsor, food vendor, and band. The remaining event nights this year are August 23, August 30, and September 6. Proceeds benefit local community projects of the Civitan Club, including Shop with a Cop, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, Adopt a Highway, Festival of Trees, Homeless Stand Down, and the Guns and Hoses Tournament. SPEND A SUMMER EVENING WITH SOME GREAT MUSIC

Outdoor concerts are one of the great things about summer, and the Idaho Falls Arts Council has a great series going on right now. Every Tuesday evening through August from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the EIRMC River Concert Series brings a different artist or group to perform, sponsored by various community members and local businesses. The concerts are free to the public and take place on the Greenbelt Stage, located between D & E on Memorial Drive. August 1st brings The Not Brothers to the stage. Start warming up those vocal cords, because on August 8 th , the audience gets to join in as the series brings a Broadway Sing-A-Long. August 15 th features the Eastern Idaho Jazz All Stars, which is sure to have you tapping your toes. Jacie Sites is the artist for August 22 nd . The Mike Banks Jazz Quartet ends the concert series on a high note on August 29 th .
